Official opening ceremony of the Georgian Cultural Association of Trabzon

On 10 January 2025, in the city of Trabzon, the official opening ceremony of the “Georgian Cultural Association of Trabzon” was held with the participation and support of the Consulate General of Georgia.

In his remarks, Consul General Nikoloz Iashvili emphasized the importance of establishing a new Georgian diaspora organization in the Black Sea region, both for the promotion of Georgian culture and traditions, and for the further strengthening of relations between the two countries.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Trabzon, Ahmet Metin Genç, the Mayor of the Ortahisar District, Ahmet Kaya, members of the Parliament of Georgia, the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and the Batumi City Council, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and of the Consulate General of Georgia in Trabzon, as well as Georgians residing in Turkiye.
