The General Consulate of Georgia in the city of Trabzon represents the interests of the Georgian state and serves our citizens in the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions of the Republic of Türkiye. The consular district includes the following provinces: Trabzon, Artvin, Ardahan, Kars, Erzurum, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Samsun, Ordu, Giresun, Erzincan, Rize, Iğdır, Bitlis, Muş, Bingöl, Elazığ, Malatya, Tunceli, Ağrı, and Van.
These regions are distinguished by their history, rich culture, diverse traditions, and are of particular importance to Georgia, both in terms of geographical proximity and centuries-old ethnic, cultural, and economic ties. The Black Sea coastline, with its key transportation routes and opportunities, creates a favorable environment not only for trade and tourism cooperation, but also for deepening the good-neighborly and friendly relations between the two peoples.
The main priorities of our Consulate’s activities are:
• Protection of the rights and lawful interests of Georgian citizens and the provision of consular and legal services to them;
• Providing assistance to Georgian citizens when necessary;
• Promoting cooperation between Georgia and the regions of Türkiye in the fields of economy, tourism, culture, and education;
• Deepening historical, friendly, and partnership relations between the parties;
• Supporting historical diaspora associations and Georgian cultural organizations in the region, and ensuring the promotion of the Georgian language, history, and culture.
I am pleased that through this website, our citizens and other interested individuals will be able to obtain the necessary information, become acquainted with the activities of the Consulate, and learn about developments that may be of interest and importance to them.
